Terrence is a Clinical Research Fellow at the Oxford Vaccine Group, currently working on a wide range of adult vaccine clinical trials and Human Challenge studies. He completed his medical degree and Master's by Research at the University of Exeter, followed by medical training in London and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians.
Terrence previously served as the lead fellow in Phase 1 and Phase 3 mRNA vaccine trials targeting COVID-19 and pandemic Influenza at the St George’s Vaccine Institute. He has also been involved in NeuroHIV clinical research, primarily focusing on characterizing neurological syndromes in HIV, such as CSF HIV RNA escape and CD8 encephalitis.
Terrence is currently working to define tissue-based mechanisms of vaccine immunogenicity as part of the Lymph nodE single-cell Genomics AnCestrY and ageing (LEGACY) Network, including the use of Bayesian inference methods to contribute to a better understanding of tissue‐based immunology.
