The PCV15/pcv20 StudY
Help prevent pneumococcal disease in children
Are your baby’s 8-week vaccination coming up? Then they maybe eligible to help our research.
Pneumococcal disease can cause serious illness, especially in young children. There are vaccines available. We are trying to find out which vaccine is most effective.
Participants will have five or six study visits at home or at the trial site. They will receive two doses of either PCV15, PCV20, or PCV13, or three doses of PCV20, as well as all their routine vaccines. These vaccines protect against 15, 20, or 13 strains of Pneumococcal disease, which is a serious bacterial infection.
Blood tests, to measure the immune response to the vaccines, will be taken at two of the visits. Local anaesthetic cream is used to numb the skin. Taking part in this study is voluntary and participants can withdraw at any time.
We need your help with our vaccine study.
